The Guthix bow was released on 4 August 2010 as part of the Elite Treasure Trails update. Along with the Zamorak bow and Saradomin bow, it requires 55 range to use.

Wielding it gives a Ranged bonus of +80, almost reaching the Rune crossbow's bonus. The God bows also give a small Prayer bonus of +4; this is unique as no other range weapon offers a positive Prayer bonus (Zanik's Crossbow gives a -5 Prayer bonus).

It can shoot arrows up to rune or Saradomin arrow, Zamorak arrow, or Guthix arrow.

The only way to obtain this item is to trade with other players, or get it as a reward from Elite (Level 4) Treasure Trails.

The bow has a special attack, called "Balanced Shot," that, draining 55% of the special attack bar, deals 1.5x damage to the opponent when activated and heals the player the amount of damage that would have been done before the 1.5x multiplier. These lifepoints are restored over a period of time, similar to the Enhanced Excalibur's special attack. If a second "Balanced Shot" is activated while still healing through a first "Balanced Shot", the healing effect will stack with the previous one.

The special attack is the combination of the Zamorak bow (Deals extra damage) and the Saradomin bow (heals yourself over time), this explains why it is "balanced".
